Delicate and Detailed

These two are one of our top picks in the entire store. The feel of silk, the delicate details, the buds of orchids, and the fit--everything about them is feminine and put together without being over the top. And they're also in our two favorite colors for Fall, teal and plum.

$168

In addition to the beautiful silk pattern, the teal top is also trimmed in black and gold squiggly mesh that really complements the whole look. There is nothing eloquent about that description, but when you see it in person, you'll know what I mean, I hope.

If we had to choose wearing a top instead of a dress, this would be THE top to wear. It's subtle but special. Just how we like it!

$198
The plum dress is a wrap, making it an easy fit. Rather than squiggly mesh (there has to be a better word for these things), the dress is trimmed in a grey pleated chiffon ruffle, and grey chiffon twisted into rope. The overall look makes it feel like a gorgeous, but flirty, vintage find that lived in the closet of someone I'd certainly love to meet.

Not Like the Other

Unlike it's well-known counterpart, this white dress shirt is not your typical, crisp and pressed staple. The woven cotton is wonderfully fluid, letting you skip the fuss about your shirt wrinkling within minutes of putting it on (after paying to get it dry cleaned and pressed).

Another detail we love is the fact that the back is a little longer than the front. So you can wear it alone or as a tunic over skinny jeans. Cinched with any wide belt you've got, pair it with boots, thrown on a burnt orange scarf, and you are set for game day! Or any other easy day, really.

A Glint of Owls

The playful, vintage vibe on this dress is just precious. This comfy woven cotton has a plethora of little gold owls (my next favorite bird after penguins) to add a special touch.

But aside the plethora of little gold owls, my favorite part is the sweetheart neckline, and the fact that this dress cinches you in at just the right spot. Making this dress easy to play up or down, for work or play.

It's like having a vintage find from the 50s, minus the poofy swing skirt, or the random trip to the vintage store.

Rock out and stay cool at ACL

Austin City Limits is everyone's favorite time of the year in Austin. But what we like to forget amidst all blissful splendor for our ears, is all the walking and sweltering in the heat.

With that in mind, we have easy options to help you stay cool and still have a good time out there. All of the options below are just as cute with boots or with flip flops, it's just that easy!

First up, this jersey dress has a bold golden medallion print layered over teal and plum. Not only that, but the woven macrame racerback adds my favorite detail to this easy number.

$42

The magenta color on this embroidered halter dress is a great pick-me-up for your fall wardrobe. After ACL is over, you can pair it with a cardigan and black patent flats as a new option for work.
$72

I absolutely love tunics! And no, they are not for hiding! They're supposed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. No matter where you're going, it's an effortless way to still feel good when you walk out the door. Especially on the days where you really don't want to spend 15 minutes staring at your closet, wondering what to wear.

$42

Affordable Office Options

Finding things that you can wear to the office can be a drag sometimes. It's not always something you would wear by choice, or it's just not fun. But that's another reason why we're here to help you. :}
Below are some great options that you can easily wear to work, just as easily as you'd wear it to go out or whatever it is that you like to do.

This maroon embroidered top has just the right details down the middle, making it easy to pair with black pants, and a blazer or cardigan for work. Otherwise, wear it with jeans when you're just out and about with friends.

$34

This could be a bit girly for some, but the knife-pleat collar of this wrap blouse makes a great replacement over your basic white dress shirt. Pair it with your suit and you have a great look pulled together anytime of the year.

$49

The mosaic pink and grey print on this faux-wrap dress is an easy perk to your general office attire. You get the flattering fit of a wrap dress, minus the fuss of figuring out how wrap dresses work.
$42

This teal jersey dress is an easy fit for anything, really. You don't have to wonder what to wear underneath, and the V-neckline is a little different, but still office-appropriate. The fit is a little lower than most empire waists, making it more figure-flattering for the everyday woman.
In person, you'll see a black crochet hem, that adds a minimal but unique touch to this look.

$92

More than Just a Pocket

These new jeans from Hollywood Million Denim have a great basketweave woven pocket! A new denim line made by a woman, for women.

The wash is dark and solid, making it a good neutral pair of slim denim that you can wear with anything. The waistband is wide so that it doesn't gape in the back, nor give you muffin top.

$184

Here's an extra close-up of the pocket

But do excuse the flash, this pair is as dark as the first picture shows.

In addition, if you purchase a pair of Hollywood Million Denim, can choose a charity for Hollywood Million to donate 5% on behalf of you. You can go to www.hollywoodmillion.com and choose among the many charities, that Hollywood Million supports in their Give Back, Give Thanks program.

That Extra Edge

Zippers, studs, and all this other hoopla have been popping up lately. Women of all ages have been piqued by this little number, and you can see why.

The cut and body is a classic silhouette.
The fabric has just a bit of stretch so it hugs you just right.
And of course, that wave of zippers is definitely an attention-getter.

Wear it alone with boots, or patent pumps. Or wear it casual with flats. Either way, you can't go wrong, this one has that extra oomph.

An Interesting Little Number

Yes, yes, I know you, you're the one with all of those black dresses in your closet. "I can't possibly have another black dress!" you say. Well, I can't tell you that you need another black dress, since I'm sure all of the black dresses you have, serve different purposes.

However, if they do not, or if they don't fit as well as you remember, then you need to try this on. The ruffled detail on this V-neck isn't your normal, frou frou girly girl. So it's not over the top, but it's still an interesting pick-me-up in photos (for those that care).

Most importantly, the body of this dress fits really well, which is why I am telling you to give this one a second glance the next time you're here.

$40

Long and Flowy for Fall

I think a good number of you are still afraid of maxi dresses. Generally, most of you have said that you can't pull them off because you're not tall enough. Well heck, none of us are model height. Having a great maxi is like having a great jean, once you have the right one, it fits your body well. And realistically, you will have to hem it for it to look right on you.

This berry color for fall is perfect, not too bright, and not too dark. Also, the comfy jersey body in this simple silhouette is easy to dress up or dress down for whatever you're up to this weekend.

Go on, don't be afraid.

A Little Silver Glitz

A simple A-line silhouette, turned up a notch in silver glitz! Now, I know a few people are afraid of sequins (or possibly dislike), but to the ones that aren't--
"How can I dress this down, it feels a bit... New Year's-ish?" It's what you make of it, so how do you go about doing that? Easy. For the Fall, pair it with a long cardigan (you have the option of belting over the cardigan) and boots, or wear a solid-colored blazer to minimize the glitz effect, yet still look polished.
It also has a cute racerback to make it that much more fun to wear alone!

Our Lips are Sealed, Almost

The last time you were at Peyton's Place, you probably saw this and couldn't resist to ask out loud, "lip scrub? what's a lip scrub?" Don't worry, that peculiar little jar that never fails to raise the question.

Actually, it's quite to the point. Do you use a facial scrub? Well this one does exactly what it says it calls itself, too.

It's an exfoliant for your pout--
1. Because we like to make the decision process a tad more difficult--choose between Peppermint, Almond Creme, Vanilla Bean, Cinnamon Sugar, and Cocoa.
2. Take a bit on your fingertip (a little goes a long way, don't let the jar trick you).
3. Massage your pout for one minute or so... tick tock.
4. Wipe/wash off, and voila! Your pout just had a mini spa treatment.
If you have the chance to indulge yourself on something that will last a long time, arm yourself with the Lip Scrub. You'll wonder how you lived without it. It may sound silly, but it's quite the opposite, for such a simple thing.

Now we also have the Lip Slip, a luxe little balm that you can use alone or after using the Lip Scrub. Once again, you'll find that a little goes a long way.

I love the fact that this balm isn't tacky or sticky. Personally, I prefer using it alone since surprisingly, it holds on pretty well throughout the day alone or over your favorite lip color for a little extra staying power.
